Trenker & Pink Ribbon
Since September 2018, an inspiring journey has begun between Trenker Pharmaceutical Laboratories and Pink Ribbon, a partnership full of meaning and emotion. For 25 years, Pink Ribbon has been organizing activities such as Pink Monday, the pink walk, and the distribution of pink ribbons, powerful symbols in the fight against breast cancer. Their mission: to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection.
Who is Pink Ribbon?
Pink Ribbon is the national organization committed to improving the medical treatment of breast cancer and the quality of life of patients affected by this disease. Their mission is to reduce the disease and its consequences. They launch various projects in Belgium focused on prevention, early detection, and psychosocial support for patients and their families.
In 2024, Alline dresses in pink for a good cause!
This year, Trenker is once again supporting Pink Ribbon. For this occasion, the boxes of Alline procap and prohair are turning pink to support this initiative. Pink, the symbolic color in the fight against cancer, is accompanied by drawings of breasts and ribbons to reinforce our message. Our packaging is designed with colors and illustrations full of meaning. But we didn’t stop there: on one side, we added the essential steps for self-examination. Indeed, despite increased awareness, many women still do not know how to perform self-examination correctly.

Let's look at the Pink Ribbon figures
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women. Here are some striking figures related to this disease:
- Currently, 100,000 Belgian women are fighting breast cancer.
- Each year, 10,500 new patients are diagnosed.
- This figure amounts to 29 new diagnoses per day.
- In Belgium, 1 in 9 women is affected by breast cancer.
- Men can also develop breast cancer: approximately 100 men are diagnosed with the disease each year in Belgium.
The importance of early detection
Did you know that with early diagnosis, 9 out of 10 women are still alive after 5 years, and most of them are completely cured? A hopeful finding, but still too little known.
The earlier breast cancer is detected, the less severe the treatment will be, and the greater the chances of recovery.
