Good bacteria from birth
The intestinal flora performs several important functions including the development of the immune system. including the development of the immune system, more than 60% of all our immune cells are in our gut1.
The digestive tract of the unborn child is sterile prior to birth. Once the baby is born, its intestinal flora will be colonised by bacteria and yeasts. The flora gradually accumulates and diversifies over the first few years of life. This slow, delicate process is vulnerable to disruption. That is when we speak of dysbacteriosis. This can present in the form of digestive disorders, diarrhœa, infections or even recurring ailments.
Many scientific studies have shown in particular that an intake of Lactobacilli and Bifidobacilli (bacteria)2-5 makes it possible to both prevent and treat diarrhœa at any age.
The most abundant bacteria in our intestinal flora are Lactobacilli and Bifidobacilli. They play a part in the digestion and absorption of nutrients, and play a major role in maintaining the balance of the intestinal ecosystem.
The four specific strains of bacteria contained in Imutis Baby were selected on the basis of many clinical trials 2-5.
Vitamin D produces a synergy with the bacteria of Imutis Baby and promotes the normal functioning of the immune system6.
