Saccharomyces Cerevisiae CNCM I-3856
The intestinal flora in the human body is made up of billions of microorganisms: bacteria, yeasts, fungi and even viruses. This flora, also called microbiota, is characterised by a subtle balance between these different microorganisms. An imbalance can lead to feelings of discomfort, including in the intestines.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a non-colonising yeast. This means that it does not adhere to the intestinal wall, limiting the risk of candidiasis. However, it can reach a high concentration in the intestine and remain there in a living form. Numerous studies1-3 have been carried out with Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3856.
This includes, for example, the randomised double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study of Pineton de Chambrun1, which was conducted on people aged 18 to 75 years with signs of irritable bowel syndrome1.
Cerevisia contains a specific strain of yeast: Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3856: This strain was selected from more than 6,000 yeast strains after years of research.
The Trenker plus
The specific strain used in Cerevisia is registered with the CNCM (Collection Nationale de Cultures de Microorganismes).
